Melissa, a Content Designer, married Ben, a Civil Engineer, on 11th October 2020 in the Royal Victoria Park, Bath. The couple's original 2020 wedding plans have been disrupted by Covid, but this wasn’t likely to stop them from tying the knot the moment they could, between lockdowns.

"We had initially planned to marry in April, but covid stop that. We knew we still desired to get married in 2020, therefore we rethought our plans within the summer."

"I wore an attractive lace wedding dress. I visited the FeelTimes online store coupled with the most wonderful time with my mum and bridesmaids. The space is beautiful, the gown selection was brilliant, and also the girls you will find so kind and helpful."

"I went for straightforward block heel sandals from. I knew they wouldn't be seen much and I desired to be in a position to walk around the park easily, so I just went for something understated."

"I knew I wanted something fairly fitted and unstructured, to ensure that I could maneuver around easily during the day, but I fell deeply in love with this gown due to nature-inspired lace."

"I wore a turquoise necklace as my something blue – Ben purchased for me from the little boutique, in the end, were in Texas, therefore it felt fitting."

"I hadn't planned to put on a veil as I desired to look fairly natural, but at the last moment, I fell to have a birdcage veil. It was made to order and matched towards the lace of my dress and my hair color." Here

"It felt decorative without having to be too fussy, also it was comfortable."

"Ben and I met on Tinder not too long ago. We were both residing in Bristol and also got on very well from the start. We had lots in keeping too, like heading out, good food, and music."

"Ben proposed, in the end, we're on the 3-week journey around America in December 2018. We were in Texas at the time and he proposed in Enchanted Rock nature reserve. He found an attractive, secluded spot overlooking miles of unspoiled countryside."

"Ben had sourced an attractive piece of Sapele wood and carved it into a diamond ring. He used this to propose after which a few weeks later we went towards the Isle of Wight together to choose our rings inside my favorite independent jeweler."

"I've admired their creations for a long time and wound up picking out a ring that I'd had on my small (not too secret) wedding Pinterest board since I was at university."

The couple pulled around the talents and passions of the family for multiple elements of the wedding day. As well as hiring her sister to supply the flowers, "….another bridesmaids were fab too – Bertie curated the wines for all of us and Abi did my make-up. Ben's mum also baked the wedding cake. It was so lovely to be in a position to draw on people’s talents and involve as numerous people as possible within the day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Be prepared to adapt. Ben and I wound up having to replan our wedding 3 times, but our willingness to adapt led us to possess the perfect day. We centered on what felt vital that you and allow the noise of all things else to fade. Although it wasn't what we should have initially planned, we wouldn't change our big day for anything."
